CCAMPIS Update – June 10, 2026
The U.S. Department of Education, in partnership with the Department of Health and Human Services, has relaunched the Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS) grant competition for the 2026-2030 cycle. OCCFR has submitted an application, and we anticipate award notifications by September 30. If funded, we will begin reaching out with announcements and instructions for eligible students to apply.

Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS)
CCAMPIS is a federally funded grant that is combined with CCTAP awards to cover 80-95% of child care tuition for full-time student parents.
The mission of CCAMPIS is to provide access and financial assistance to ensure high quality early childhood care and education for low income student parents at UW-Madison so they can persist and graduate from degree programs.
Eligibility
- Must be a student parent enrolled in a full-time degree program at UW–Madison.
- Must have a child(ren) enrolled at a CCAMPIS-eligible center:
- Must have applied and be eligible for Child Care Tuition Assistance Program (CCTAP).
- Must apply for Financial Aid through the Office of Financial Aid to determine your “Pell” Eligibility.
- Note: You do not need to accept financial aid, but you must be eligible.
Applying
- Apply for the Child Care Tuition Assistance Program (CCTAP). You must do this before applying for CCAMPIS.
- Apply for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA). You must apply even if you don’t plan to accept financial aid. You may not be eligible, but you still need to apply. For questions on applying for FAFSA, contact the Office of Student Financial Aid.
- After steps 1 and 2 are complete, submit the CCAMPIS application.
