Explore a career in Early Childhood Education with an internship or student job at one of our three UW Campus Child Care Centers! Learn invaluable skills working with or observing children during their most critical years of development. Gain experience in classroom management, childhood development, curriculum design, individualized learning plans, and more.

Teacher Pledge Program

The Teacher Pledge is an opt-in forgivable loan program for teacher education students who pledge to stay and teach in the state at a pre-K or K-12 school for three to four years. UW–Madison’s Campus and Network Child Care Centers qualify for this program!

Opportunities

Teaching or Observation

Internships may include observation, hands-on teaching, data collection and/or evaluation, and may be paid or unpaid.

Find an Internship: Please contact the campus child care center director to discuss your learning needs and develop a plan. Be sure that you allow a minimum of one week to schedule your time at the center. We cannot guarantee last minute requests.

 Student Teaching Assistant

Student jobs are paid, part-time positions (4-20+ hours/week) where you will work in the classroom alongside one more experienced Lead Teachers.
