OCCFR Announcement

Dear UW-Madison Families and Early Educators,

I’m writing to share some updates from the Office of Child Care and Family Resources as we start the new year together.

On December 20th, we bid a heartfelt farewell to our dear colleague Barb Douglas, sending her our best wishes as she begins an exciting new chapter in her life. Her departure has led to some changes within our team.

Jaime Kenowski, a valued member of the OCCFR team for over two years, has been promoted to Parent Resource Specialist. In her previous role as Administrative Assistant, Jaime played a key role in supporting the Child Care Tuition Assistance Program (CCTAP) and parenting students. Her experience, dedication, and deep understanding of our mission make her an excellent fit for this new role. With thoughtful planning, we are ensuring a smooth transition to continue providing exceptional support to families. Please join us in congratulating Jaime on this well-deserved advancement!

At the same time, we are excited to welcome Gail Adank as our new Administrative Assistant, stepping into the position previously held by Jaime. Gail brings many years of experience as an executive administrative assistant and has a strong commitment to supporting families. When you see Gail, please take a moment to welcome her to her new role.

These updates reflect our strong dedication to providing outstanding support and resources for families. Even as a small team of five, we remain focused, energized, and excited about what the future holds.

Thank you for your continued support as we embrace this exciting new chapter together.

With heartfelt regards,

Cigdem Unal, Director
