ELIGIBILITY

APPLICATION

ADVISORY BOARD

FORMS

The mission of CCTAP is to recruit and support student parents enrolled at UW-Madison. The goals of CCTAP are to:

  • Improve the quality and continuity of child care children receive while their parents are working, studying or attending classes to attain their degree;
  • Provide financial assistance to income eligible student parents who have the greatest need for child care; and
  • To increase support and availability of needed services to student parents.

Funds are available on a first-come first-served basis and when program eligibility factors are met.

Eligibility

  • Must be a student enrolled in a minimum of 3 academic credits required for degree completion (full- or part-time students may apply),
  • Must be a parent of a child(ren) ages birth to 12 years, and
  • Using full- or part-time licensed/regulated child care in the state of Wisconsin.

Award eligibility is determined on:

    • Academic credits and student status
    • Total family resources from the prior year (both taxable and non-taxable)
    • All other income resources and benefits (e.g. tuition remission, scholarships, government assistance, grants, etc.)

Application

Applications for a new academic year will be accepted beginning in April. An "academic year" begins with the summer term and ends with the spring term. Students must reapply for CCTAP every year and accept the award each semester. You may apply for CCTAP prior to any semester, but funds are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, as long as funds are available.

  1. Download the CCTAP application from this Web site or pick one up from our office at 611 Eagle Heights, Room 148.
  2. Submit a completed and signed application with required attachments (see cover of application) to:
Office of Child Care and Family Resources
    Attn: CCTAP
    611 Eagle Heights, Room 148
    Madison, WI 53705
  3. If you are found eligible, we will send you an e-mail informing you to fill out an Acceptance Form. Once that has been completed and returned to us, we will review it and send out an invoice.

Sorry, incomplete applications will not be processed. The CCTAP office has the right to deny service to any student parents falsifying information on their CCTAP application.
