OCCFR coordinates the early education/child care and family support system on campus in response to the needs of UW families. The UW children's centers operate on or close to campus and provide priority enrollment to UW faculty, staff and student parents while fulfilling the greater teaching, research and outreach mission of UW.
Campus centers must fulfill UW-System G38 policy, including state licensing and national accreditation standards. Each center complies with hundreds of standards relating to safety, physical space, staff supervision and training, curriculum, administration and program. We encourage all families to visit UW's early education programs and talk personally with the respective directors.
You are encouraged to contact the campus centers to find the program that is best suited to you and your child's needs. Each campus program is unique in its size and scope of services. You may also contact the Parent Resource Specialist at 265-9123 with any questions or for a personal referral.
* Please know that all campus centers have access to ongoing professional consultation regarding special needs including child development, mental health or family concerns. Consultation services are arranged as requested. Contact your program director or the Parent Resource Specialist at 265-9123 for information.
